X-Nauts are enemies from the game Paper Mario. They serve as underlings for Grodus. X-Nauts are the foot soldiers of the army. They have a white x on their red uniform. X-Nauts make an appearance in two chapters of the game.
Boggly Tree[]
In Chapter 2, Lord Crump and his troops invade the Tree to find the emerald star. Mario will have to do battle with them multiple times throughout the tree. X-Nauts can be found guarding multiple areas.
The Moon[]
In Chapter 7, Mario re-encounters them. This time, he will face two ther types of X-Nauts. Although, in this chapter, they are not as common.
